HIV

You struck like a bolt from the blue...
Had me wishing for a "false positive"
My soul vaporized when the doc said its true...
Felt a surge of this indescribable emotion...
I could hear my viscera in a commotion...
My heart pounding against my ribcage wanting to escape....
My face adorned with a gape...
I could feel a volcano brewing inside my brain...
I could feel my faeces in turmoil looking for a way out to a better terrain...
It was hard to acquise
For I've never thought I'd be a victim one day

Some call death the king of terrors...
Forgetting the chameleon that camouflages itself in human cells causing human errors...
A 'parasite' that feasts on human souls and flesh...
Has a penchant for the fresh...
Apathic enough to leave the young orphaned
A thief that steals everything,
Everything from parents to one's ID
Will have you branded "the one with HIV"

You took away my power, gunned my immunity down...
Had me looking cachexic so I'd be the talk of town...
When I was feeble and vulnerable,
You invited all your dreadful cronies to the party...
I'm talking Depression, TB and Cancer

I'm writing this from my deathbed
My immunity couldn't defeat you
The pills couldn't suppress you
My soul is weary and dying slow
Please finish me off!
