I would stand in the shadows of your heart

I'm not afraid of your dark.

Your Shadows, they do not scare me.
Like the comfort of home,
they allow me to just be.

Those troubled spirits I have always known.
I embrace them with my love as I
welcome them to not be alone.

I long to speak to that darkness you hide inside.
I know his roar and his passion, can offer him freedom, or at least try.

Yet he guards your truth so deep within,
fate sealed by preventing any kind of love
from making its way in.
