The Sleep Paralysis Demon...
3Am on the clock right now
Shh my dear, you can't make a sound
Wake up, Wake up I internally exclaim
On no you can't my claws are something you can't evade
Darkness prevails in my slowly constricting room
The cold sweat on my forehead is maybe the start of the doom
The dread I can feel is too much to elope
Yet my fingers won't lift, my body won't move
The shadows getting larger from the corners of my room
The weight in that murderous gaze won't let me even scoot
What do you want? I ask dreading my demise
On come on my dear there's no need to be so hostile
Maybe I'm here for a cup of tea or simply just because I wanted to see you intimidated by me
The haunted whispers near my ear has my blood turn cold
Oh come on my love, Are you already spooked?
Now where's the fun in that! it saunters when it moves
Let's give you an offer, shall we?
And hope perhaps that you're not lacking mind in your pathetically frail body..
Would you like to be my accomplice and haunt the trapeseries?
Or would you rather like to be caught up in my claws forever always dreading your sleep?
Wouldn't both be the doomed ends? I counter
Oh you're smarter than I thought you would
The echoes of the laughter mocking me down with a startle
Very well, I shall haunt you for eternity dear
You're too interesting to be left alone to, shall we say sneer
Before I can counter I'm jerked from my bed
6 Am in the morning the sun has arrived
Yet the dread still evident I can't clear up my mind
The shadows in the corners are no longer hauntingly arising..
Yet the dread I feel for sleep now is really not, shall we say Aspiring!
