People like leaders, not managers, and that's the reason why companies are worried about people leaving jobs in the majority.

Most of the people are managers, and few are leaders. What's the difference?

A leader is one who believes in:

The safety, honor, and welfare of your country come first, always and every time.

The safety and welfare of the troops I command come next.

My own safety and welfare come last, always and every time.

Thus, if the above emotion is lacking, you can be the CEO of the company, but you can't be the leader.

Thus, strength doesn't lie in the position you own. It lies in the conviction you hold about taking responsibility.
