I Walk in My Mother's Shoes
I walk in my mother's shoes,
Walking the path she once chose,
Her footsteps light the way,
Guiding me through every day.

I used to watch her, with wonder and awe,
As she went about her day, without the slightest flaw,
She juggled so much, with such ease,
A true wonder woman, if you please.

She walked through life with poise and grace,
Seldom a frown on her face,
She held her head up high, with pride,
An example of what it means to strive.

With each step she took, she carried a lot,
Her love, her strength, all that she taught,
Her footsteps clear, her path straight,
Her love, a light that never abates.

I look at her now, through my adult eyes,
And I see her struggles, and her highs,
I see her love, her hope, her resilience,
Her legacy, a testament of her brilliance.

I walk in her shoes, with each step I take,
Her lessons guiding me, every move I make,
I carry her spirit, her heart, her love,
As I walk through life, on this journey I trove.

My mother, the one who paved the way,
Her love, a gift I'll never repay,
But I'll walk in her shoes, with gratitude and joy,
Her legacy, my banner, my pride, my buoy.

So I’ll keep walking in my mother's shoes,
With each step, paying tribute to her love so true,
The path she laid, I’ll keep walking through,
With my eyes steady, my spirit new.
