i really did not want to write today
but i know i'll wish i would have
this will not be a poem about heartbreak,
sadness,
or pain.

before you ask,
no i am not feeling any older.
it was harder to get out of bed today
(i took an edible last night)
but my parents put balloons
in front of my door

i find 19 to be a gray number
im not a baby adult anymore
im not 20 yet
but ive not finished my teens.

im hoping 19 will become a year of
routine, self care, and healing.
id like to be ready for...
