The dreams you can't recall
I got married to an ogre and fought a dragon later. Studying in between a lake surrounded by alligators.
It was one of them , oh I can't be sure,
It was one of those dreams you can't seem to recall.

Every night no matter the food I eat or the time I sleep,
I have already dreamt many things before the clock strikes three .

21,22,23 counting the sheeps my eyes closed, getting ready to travel through my head alone.

It's a world that probably exists somewhere, where the trees are small and flowers are tall.

Sparrows chirp with stars gleaming in the sky, puddles are wet but the rain is dry.

The sun is violet ,the moon is red , the fantasy is painted beautifully inside my head.

Familiar faces from the past that are now too far, some rekindle my love, others unreachable, lost in the dark.

The nasty classmate is nastier, the shy boy loves to speak, my classroom is distorted, people smile wider in my dreams.

I often find myself doing what I want, reminding me of everything I have yet not got.

Insecurities and hypocrisy is on display, dreams reveal how your pink is actually gray.

And as the clock strikes 6 and the dragon is dead ,the alarm goes off near my bed.

Waking up from fantasies that are tears of reality, my neck gets sore realising the two worlds and their duality.

And just like that, no matter how brilliant the dream felt in my mind , I wake up and leave most of it behind.

Mumma tells me "you blabbered all night , what did you dream and are you alright? "

I tell her "I think I saw grandma but I can't be sure."

It was one of those dreams you can't seem to recall.
