bluebirds throbbing in ceramic ribs
—
there is wilderness
in the artless mumbling
of a dandelion
thieving stars; handcuffed
to the cinnamon-tongued heart
like vintage jewels
and when camellias were held
with butterfly hands & lilac frosted
fingertips,
they bathed in maddening shades
of mid-summer sunsets.
ebbed in seascapes of crimson devotion.
moonlight slithers deep,
originating on braille backbone
like a secret prayer
curled around a wistful
caged-pulse;
aching to belong in
somewhere.
