I'd Rather Not Know
In my mind I am lost. While the reasons, they sway.
Life, a planned chaos. A hopeless relay.
As Perceptions shift, in a kaleidoscope's gleam,
The ordinary warps into a paranoid dream.
Intuitions pierce me, with unsettling might.
A needle and thread weaves the dead into the night.
My thoughts whisper secrets, in a haunted headspace.
With A chilling discord, that unmasks every face.
The body takes yield, to some unseen force,
I’m a turbulent vessel, on a perilous course.
All trust dissolves, in my worn fractured soul,
The soul's essence shatters, dispersing out of control.
Isolation's grasp, it's a suffocating hold.
In this labyrinthine world, where nightmares unfold.
Reality's canvas is painted in shades of fear,
Every stranger's glance evokes a triggered tear.
Yet in this torment, a type of power resides,
A glimpse of knowledge, that darkness thus hides.
Clairvoyance's burden, a double-edged blade,
For a psyche that has shattered, in the secrets arrayed.
I once asked for knowledge. For my eyes, a new scope.
But to obtain that desire, only to have to cope.
To dread the sunrise. forced to live. beg to die.
Cause I'd rather not know that there's nowhere to hide.
