An enduring edifice to stand.
A timeless symbol of the past
The ancient art of stone and mortar
To this day defies the blast.

When I say with rhyme
The mighty Nile, a river so grand
Flowing through Egypt with its golden sand
Lush green banks with a bounty of life
A majestic river, free from strife.

She illustrates things in detail
From its source in the mountains of Ethiopia
It flows through the lands of the vast geography
To the Delta and into the Mediterranean Sea
A symbol of life, known throughout history
