I thought it was you all along,
In my heart, where you belong.
But now I see, it wasn't true,
A different path, I must pursue.

Through laughter and tears, we shared our days,
But now I realize, it's time to part ways.
Our bond once strong, now feels so wrong,
I thought it was you, but I was mistaken all along.

The memories we made, they'll always remain,
But it's time for me to break free from this chain.
I'll cherish the moments, the love we once knew,
But it's time for me to find my own truth.

Though it hurts to say goodbye, I'll be okay,
For life is a journey, and I'll find my own way.
I'll hold onto hope, as I start anew,
Knowing that what's meant for me will come into view.

So thank you for the lessons, the joy and the pain,
I'll carry them with me as I dance in the rain.
