I'm writing you from september 26 2021
you'll probably find this on a dusty shelf
in between the books we loved to read as kids
when you find it
I have some questions:
how old are we now?
did we make it?
are we still depressed?
can we sleep now?
or is the insomnia still haunting us?
do we still take pills?
what about our friends?
did they make it?
could we save them?
where are they today?
do we still have self esteem issues?
do we still believe that everything is our fault?
do we still hear voices?
did we fall?
what about our family?
how are our siblings?
did they also make it?
how's ma?
I hope she's happy
how's pa?
where are they today?
who knows
maybe I'll never get the chance to read this
maybe I'll never find it
maybe I'll be dead
maybe i'll be lost
maybe I'll give up on everything
what are we feeling now?
do we still stare at the bedroom ceiling?
do we still have arguments with the voices inside our head?
are they gone?
well, i hope we are free
happily free
I hope we made it
I hope we're not lonely
I hope we love ourselves
