The drugs, the booze-
it all paled in comparison to you

All I ever wanted was for you to look at me

like you were single-handedly responsible
for the stars in the sky.
Like the world began and ended with you.
Because for me, it did.
But instead, you fooled me- again. Lied to me- again.

What's worse is your new mark. She's soft, meek.
Gentle like a pacifist.
I'm comparable to asphalt and you nearly took me down.
Just imagine what you'll do to someone
who can't see
the one mending her heart has already broken it.
