Broken laughter, most comfortable in the dark
Reminiscing of times she'd be up with the lark.

A strange chapter of her life is now in play
Leave mistakes behind; Packed up, stowed away.

Cathartic cries.
Exasperated sighs.

In her eyes, she should feel elevated
Now that all the lies have vacated

Her premises is empty; totally deflated

Soon her blanket of melancholy won't feel so weighted.

If only she learns the importance of waiting,
She'll find out her life can become exhilarating.
