The Copper Beech Tree
Entangled Roots#17

My mind wandered in grave reflection
As there was nowhere left for me to go.
It was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain all the things that had always been hard for me to let go.
It had always been easy for me to walk in a somber mood whenever stricken to my soul,
So, on one particular evening,
I ventured deep into untrodden groves.
With a sense of calm confidence and placidity,
One’s faded footsteps strode cautiously and gently
Along a crackling path
of dew-covered grass that was overgrown.
Over brittle leaves, sticks, and scattered stones,
One's fragile footprints echoed.
My senses heightened
as I ventured onto this untrodden trail of Weeping Willows.
The air was heavy with fragrances of damp soil and green pine blending
with the soft moss underfoot.
The misty atmosphere,
accompanied by the soft rustling of leaves and the sounds of various animals
Who seemed to be casting fleeting shadows.
As sunlight bled through the canopy of a single deciduous tree,
I paused to relish in a serene moment,
a slim stream flowing through the forest floor.
The water danced as it met the Sun's beams, scattering sparkling particles,
paralleled to latitude,
Ayont the tranquil ambiance that
I gladly viewed.
Mother Nature's whispers filled the air,
Revealing the golden secrets of the light breeze, bringing a sense of peace through
The shady,
winding paths gently caressed my skin as If it blew unfeigned gratitude.
Soft kisses of rain left a dewy glow on my face that mirrored the rising sun like an
elixir of golden light,
So, I guarded my thoughts
as carefully as I did my words during that inaugural, flawless hour of my life.
Besides that dimly shining stream of sunshine illuminating my newfound quiet world,
My heart flushed warm in a world that had hushed,
Then grown into the stillest still.
Taking in the stunning scenery before thine eyes, a sight that was nothing short of surreal and mesmerizing,
Being enchanted by its magnificence,
An incomprehensible grace grounded
and deeply resonated over both our beings.
The Copper Beech Tree
With majesty, With grandeur,
Its wisdom offered me a forever freeing.
With focused attention,
I observed every intricate detail and shape
As if the tree possessed a hidden knowledge capable of averting one's mortality.
From its slender gray twigs
to its delicate dark-vibrant purple leaves,
A rural sylvan couldn't help but marvel at its smooth bark, resembling an elephant's feet;
A gray-thin,wrinkled-stout trunk provided sturdy support as he leaned against it lightly.
At that moment,
I reached down and grabbed a burr-like pod that turned out to be a nut that one could eat
As I chewed,
I fell to my knees on the ground
That was translucent enough to see its Entangled Roots,
Feeling a sense of release.
Suddenly,
a revelation struck me like a bolt of lightning.
By the Beech's side,
my Soul had gotten fortified as it began to unknot and unkink.
A Sylvan was lost but found himself in deep contemplation of the universe and life's mysteries.

I muttered silently,

“If I am sleeping, I hope no one wakes me.
If I am awake, let me never go back to sleep.”

The Copper Beech Tree replies,

“Freedom and peace finally come when
“you”
drop of water accepts the ocean as its fate.
Soon,
you will join the gathered sheep.
After We've gathered your tears,
we finally see,
They cause Entangled Roots to grow;
Still waters run deep.
There have been many who grew up like me

The Copper Beech Tree.”
