All the World's a Stage
"I Saw Beyond the Blue Horizon a Dream of the Promise Land. Milk and Honey, both Sweet and Sour. And I Ventured on, not ever knowing my Worth."

WE ARE ALL
MERELY PLAYERS
(Shakespeare)
☁️ ☁️
In the melting pot of life, where colors blend and swirl,
I am Michael, a tale of two worlds, biracial, whole.
My mother's whisper, a lullaby of love and tears,
My father's laugh, a fusion of joy and fears.
Sacrifices made, like pins that hold a quilt,
Stitching moments tight, so time won't spilt.
Emotions, like sweet juices in a fruitful blend,
Ooze from my soul, my very essence, lend.
In the marketplace of life, I often roam,
Where candy-coated words are thrown, like a tongue's dome.
Never say never, I repeat within my mind,
For the battles fought, the moments left behind.
Money's dance, a masquerade, a pantomime so vast,
Where I juggle dreams, like acrobats from the past.
Antonyms of wealth and want, they twirl and tango,
As I grasp for more, they always seem to vanish.
Friends, my compass in this vast, uncharted sea,
With hearts so gracious, they've helped me to be.
Family, the roots that anchor me to the earth,
Without their love, I'd have no rebirth.
Followers of the path I've dared to tread,
You've watched my story, with each word I've said.
Thank you for the echoes of your cheer,
That lift me up...
