Her eyes gleamed with the light 
Of her inner strength,
She had walked miles,
Not worried about the length.

For deep within she knew,
Her destination,
Where the heart lies,
Where the mind runs from infactuation,
Ridding herself from blood ties.

She soaked her bones with acid,
Breaking down her comfort zones,
Disgusted by sloth...so acrid,
Painted diligently in monochromatic tones.

For deep within she knew,
Her journey,
Not drawn in rose tinted lens,
Unscripted, raw and uncharted,
Unwritten...no pens.

Her eyes gleamed with light,
Charging forward,
Without fear of the dark,
Knowing the future will be bright.
