I look into the mirror,
And what do I see,
Is it the same image,
I expected to look back at me?
Have I aged well,
Or do I look too forlorn?
Am I wearing the clothes,
That I thought I'd adorn?
Have I been true to myself,
To myself, have I been kind?
Have I let myself relax,
Or fractured my mind?
Do I feel I'm successful,
In life and in love?
Do I feel like my loved ones,
Are proud from above?
Have I made the best,
Of a bad situation?
Or have I succumbed to order,
Fallen victim to dictation?
I look into the mirror,
As an aid for self reflection,
But have I lived my best life,
Or a life of deception?
