Tomato Vines and the Intertwines:
Your curls intertwine like a tomato plant,
Silly my comparison, but you enchant.
Rosy, your cheeks become when we meet,
So, with a kiss I can come to you, to greet.

Your spine is so strong with fruits you hold,
I have taken time to see you grow,
With time, love grows I am told,
I must not be impatient, but be wise and slow.

Your desirable fruits are an ailment to one.
You give me a tomato, when growing is done!
You are a pride to grow and to harvest from,
When I tend to you, peace begins to strum...

The soft tune of gratitude plays in my heart,
This you bring onto me, and I smile for this.
From you, I do not desire to depart,
Because I know your plentitude, I will miss.

Your red fruit is a savoring flavor,
You bring my plate the taste and some color,
Your roundness makes me cheerful,
Filled with goodness and freshness, I pull.

A fruit from many and many years ago,
You have come from the old world,
And you belong on the good table as is so.
For you are a heart, to cut by a kitchen sword.

Ha! I throw you in jest when a play is bad!
Do not get offended, for a laugh I had.
You are a heart, please tell me you understand?
I must tell you, you give purpose to my hand!

So, I dedicated these words to you,
For you are a memory, from kitchen to table.
A seed that was planted, and in time you grew.
My work and joy, and with this I was able!

Oh, tomato together, we reach higher,
Even through this heat, so hot as fire!
We must not give up to this heat.
The Fiery air of Summer, in Fall we will defeat.

The End
