Hearts Of Bark
You a Rose
found in a garden where thunder glows
I keep searching and nobody knows.
Your petals hit the stream of a river flowing backwards like my mind's endeavor.
Your fragrance carried through autumns breeze, it's magic simmers on my falling leaves.
I can't believe I'm an ordinary tree in love with a rose you'd probably wish to see.
my roots buried into the soil
my bark brittle to foil
I cannot change my wooden coil
I'm patient , shadows fall to those close or hesitant.

I'm alive by her storm
the thorn's may brush my bark
like sparks from alive wire in the dark.

I'm as green as summer covers us
I'm as cold as winter shivers us
I'm as open and colourful as spring changes us.
I'm a tree trapped into concrete
A rose distanced ,
my roots ache.
