in the month of May
heavy filled gloomy clouds of gray
my heart is sad
when it wants to be glad
why take my sunshine away
give it back to me, here now as I plead
the only thing I need, a sky of blue

the antidote in a war-filled world
the ups & downs, no peace to be found

gives me a little hope
that one day soon they'll cease
and that there'll be peace
