i dreamt of you last night,
and i forgot how i missed you in my life,
the way you said my name
made me forget the self made pain.
in my dreams you’re a different person,
someone who’s not as mean.
in my night visions,
we are something.

my past was rough and my future is dark,
i’ve been pulling the sheets over my head,
trying not to see how the world sees me,
so i live every moment inside my bed.

i miss you friend,
but i’ve tried to bring it to an end.
i can try to let you go,
but these dreams will never end.
