to do—to do
much to do,
in many ways
on my each and every day.

deadlines to meet,
before the coming night
turns to morning light.

so i take this life
in my still so tiny hands,
and i happily meet
the calling of my own demands.

smiles for the elderly ladies
in green grocery stores,
happy are the movements
of the entrance’s sliding doors.

old dogs to pet outside
with their noses cold,
no fear of coming winters
or too quickly getting too old.

until dinner time with
the simplest of meals,
crazy how the passing is
the only thing we never feel.

much to do,
too much it may seem
within our little means.

much to do
or so we say
with so much time in one day.
