Today, I went for a walk

Nothing major, just a walk

The sun shone on my cold body from above

The wind did me the pleasure of not helping with my freezing body

But it was peaceful

I was listening to my Spotify

"Love Songs" playlist in my ears as I passed under the trees

I thought about life

My contentment with the world was unimaginable

I loved every moment of it

Later, I discussed this feeling with a friend

Who had decided to join me on that walk

We got ice cream

And continued walking basically in circles

But it felt like we entered a new place everytime

I couldn't quite explain it

I stared out at other people's yards

Imagining what it would be like to have one of those yards to myself

What I would do with it

What would inhabite it

Probably a dog

Or two

And a few children running around

I'd like to think that my future would be like that

I looked up to the clouds and pointed out the shapes

Just like when I was a kid

My headphone died

Thankfully, my friend...
