Finding it hard to pull myself away from you
Trying not to wait like a dog at your feet
For a moment I felt so close to you
Letting myself get lost comes with consequences
I cannot portray myself as a unread novel
Opening and closing whenever you feel like reading
I should know better than to let you turn my pages
Facing the enivabilty of one getting torn out
I have to learn how to pace myself
Try not to let my eyes get bigger than my stomach
Its painful but necessary
I want to preserve the binding of my hard cover
Revealing my chapters in due time
