Sun streams through skylight,
clouds drift by early morn.

Only my dreams are colorized.
They tell me you have deep blue eyes
that I would drown in.
Your fair skin presses against mine
as sweat drips from our bodies.

I awaken to your arm
wrapped around me in our bed.
You delicately weave your fingers into mine.
I turn around.

Every morning I need to see you.
So, I feel.
Your hands, warm to the touch.
Your hair, beautifully disheveled.
Mouth, slightly agape.

I put my hand over your eyes,
gently closing them, 
"See what I see, love'. I whisper.
We kiss in the dark.


Caressing your face,
as I do each and every morning.
I tell you I'm still here
by tasting your delectable lips.
Time announces itself on our side
and as I kiss your neck,
your heartbeat becomes my guide,
urging me to unwrap the beauty
I see before me.

Nothing outside these four walls
matter to us right now.
Your taste accelerates the passion,
senses thrust to melting point.
The only way I can sustain myself
is to move
in time
with you.

You respond in kind,
ever reaching to meet in
the place where you finally
drown in my blue eyes.

I could paint a picture
of the world I'd want you to see.
Forever in this moment
is just you
and me.
