To live with hurt
Bedridden torment
Mourning a life left behind
Buried with a smile

Calling out
But whispers only travel so far
Not one to be confined
The prison is my mind

Yet I hold the keys
Struggling to breathe
Time slips on hope
Grab hard on the rope

Told again and again to be strong
To thrive not survive
Some days feel like the missing link
Between dead and alive

The world against you
Some see but are blind
Some hear but are deaf

If life is a test
We can only do our best

This is purity of the soul.....
