We start out pure, with hearts full of love But as we chase perfection, we may rise above Our own humanity, our own sense of right We may forget to treat others with kindness in our sight
But fear not, for the pursuit of perfection Can also lead us to a moral awakening, an introspection A chance to look within and see what we've become To make amends and change, to become more than just some
