banana ramas in our pajamas
A poem shared with my bestie, Michael.
(This goes to those who love banana!)

Upon the hill of whimsy whirl,
I spied a bunch of bananas bright,
A quest to pluck one from its tree,
oh what a zany sight!
My heart did leap, my spirit soared,
with laughter in my soul,
For slipping, sliding up the slope,
was quite the rollercoaster goal.

With "bunga-boing" shoes on my feet,
made for such a quest,
I slipped on "giggle-grass" so slick,
and took a tumble vest.
My comrades watched with cheerful glee,
each one a clown so droll,
As I performed a "slapstick slide" upon
the "hill of hilarity's" roll.

"What's this?" I pondered with a smirk,
a "laffy-ladder" lay in view,
Yet rungs were made of "jello-joy,"
a climb for me and you.
"How high can one so clumsy go?"
they jested, winking with their eyes,
But up I climbed, like "roadrunner" swift,
despite the "silly-surprise."

With every step a giggle-fest
and every slide a snicker-spree,
We banded close, we merry few,
in camaraderie so free.
Each friend a "looney-toon" at heart,
together we'd ascend,
Our friendship grew with every plight,
our hearts forever blend.

The "banana-bonanza" beckoned,
just beyond our reach,
But hand in hand, we'd conquer,
like a cartoonish beach.
We sang a tune of "pickle-power,"
as we climbed the "guffaw-grade,"
Our laughter echoed through the land,
like a comedy parade.

In "gooey-goo" we sank, and
"squishy-mud" we'd tread,
But through the muck,
our bonds grew stronger,
not a thread would spread.
Imagine if you will,
a world where slips are met with cheer,
Where every fall is but a jest,
and fear is but a mere deer.

"How many giggles in a slide?"
I ask, as we ascend,
Or "what's the name of love's sweet sound?"
our hearts do comprehend.
We scaled the "mirthful mountain" high,
our journey hand in hand,
In unity, love, and harmony,
we reached the "laff-land."

But alas, the banana tree,
it grew so tall and...
