“ yet small;smart creatures”

while making my early morning tea
fragments of sugar cubes
Scrabbled on the breakfast table
sticking; melting to honey.

It became hard to scup out
I'm certain they had smelt it
At the corner of my eye,I spied them all
three to be precise.

As they matched down
taking up the task
each struggling with its little limb
pushing and pulling with a weak pace.

Now there are six of them
helping each other hand in hand
it seems easy at sight
but hard for them.

Their antennas stuck up
as they smelt the trendy Feist amongst them
miles away but soon near.

I dart my eyelashes at the scene
watching the mistcle creatures at work.
