The Silent Companion
In shadows deep where whispers dwell,
A secret hides but none can tell.
It moves through night, unseen by day,
Yet always near, though far away.
It speaks in silence, loud and clear,
A voice you feel, but cannot hear.
It knows your steps before they're made,
Both light and dark, it will pervade.
It carries time within its hands,
Yet never treads on shifting sands.
It has no face, yet always sees,
The rise of stars, the fall of seas.
Some seek it out but never find,
For it's both lost and in your mind.
A fleeting truth, a hidden key,
It binds the soul yet sets it free.
What is this force that none can flee,
Both mystery and certainty?
It walks beside you from the start—
The riddle lies within your heart.
A secret hides but none can tell.
