COATED LIES
In shadows cast by city lights,
Where innocence succumbs to incessant nights,
There lurks a trade of human souls,
Where evil thrives and darkness controls.

From lands afar, they're lured with lies,
Promises of a better life, a pool of deceit, they get baptized
But upon arrival, their hopes are dashed,
In the grasp of traffickers, cruel and harsh.

They're bought and sold like mere goods,
Their worth diminished, broken like dry woods,
Behind closed doors, they suffer unseen,
They cry for help, their famished body lacking protein.

Yet amidst the horror, courage springs,
As advocates rise on valiant wings.
They shine a beacon in the gloom,
Offering refuge, dispelling doom.

For every victim, a heart that cares,
A network of compassion that dares
To challenge the chains, to break the binds,
And restore the dignity that evil finds.

So let us stand in solidarity,
Against this scourge, this atrocity.
With every step, with every plea,
We'll strive to set the captives free.

In the battle against human trafficking's blight,
Let compassion and justice be our guiding light.
