I haven’t read my Bible in a while
yet I’m supposed to listen to God’s voice
while mine bounces off the walls
I pray to believe in Him
and feel unheard
Unless what I’m asking is unreasonable
or takes time to cook in the oven
or there is no god at all
I wish I had all the answers
I wish I was happy
I wish I could be the good Christian that I’m supposed to be
But I digress
as I face an uncertain future
Perhaps that takes more faith than believing
