Sun comes up to greet the world,
A smile shines to kiss the plants
And touch so gently our cheeks.
It watches over land and sea,
Always felt yet out of reach.
He sits alone in such vast space.
An emptiness not only in life
But also in heart.
He longs for one never touched,
Only seen from afar,
When his time is now done.

Moon is one who brings the night,
A cool and calming aura.
It lays to rest the tired plants,
And our souls eased by pale light.
She watches all as mothers would,
Moves through the sky to see.
With one star to guide her,
Gives her vision from behind.
She feels how his love burns,
Yet cannot turn to see the face
Of which she often dream.

Opposites who love so strong,
Hope one day to intertwine.
Night with Day,
The Moon with the Sun,
Lovers found so far apart.
