Little Glass Jars
I keep my heart in little glass jars
So that when you want to see it
You can break it into a million pieces
Till it's lying on the floor surrounded by the shards
But be careful with my heart
Not to cut your hand on the jagged glass that futile protects it
Because the blood will be absorbed by it
Causing it to beat once more
Any drop you bleed will feed my jaded heart
Bleed a little for me
And then a little more
Until you're sick of sharing
Right when you're sick if caring
When You're bored of my man-like kind
You can leave it on the ground for me to pick up the red, defeated glass
I'll clean up your mess you've made
Repeated
I'll bandage up my heart anew
And replace it in a jar
This time may I be smart enought to keep it on a higher shelf
So you can't reach it
And I can't see it bleed
