Pretending nothing to be seen
In the silence of the night, where shadows dance alone,
I pretend that nothing remains, no remnants to atone.
Yet beneath this fragile facade, a tempest swirls within,
A storm of shattered trust and love, where heartache now begins.

Deceived by whispers soft as silk, promises now turned to dust,
Betrayal's bitter taste upon my lips, in love's betrayal I trust.
Tears like rivers carve my cheeks, each drop a silent scream,
Echoes of a love once cherished, now lost within a dream.

Oh, the ache that grips my soul, a knife through tender skin,
A symphony of sorrow plays, where once joy had been.
I cry out to the moonlit sky, a primal scream of pain,
To drown the echoes of deceit, to wash away the stain.

For pretending that nothing is to be seen,
Is to face a truth so cruel, so keen.
Yet from this anguish, strength will rise,
As I reclaim my heart, and heal these tear-stained eyes.

In the quiet depths of night, where shadows gently fade,
I'll find the courage to forgive, the strength to not evade.
For love betrayed is not the end, but a chapter yet untold,
A journey through the darkness, to find a heart that's bold.

So let the tears fall freely now, like rain upon the sea,
For in the depths of heartbreak, I'll find the strength in me.
To rise above the pain I feel, to shout and break the chains,
And forge a path to healing, where love forever reigns.
