Could you feel that emotional rush?
Gushing through your system
As if it wants to turn your heartbeat into its anthem
And just forget all about them.

What could be done before this feeling takes over
Before someone pushes the wrong button and gets roll over.

Time and time again when my heart is healed from pass pains of torture
It gets severed on a silver platter
While they enjoy each bite and fill the air with laughter

How is it every time I’m stab in the back
It’s by the ones who claim to be my ride or die
My partner in crime.

But, guess I was blinded with fake trust by fake friends.
When all they wanted was for me to disappear
Because of that unknown flare they saw burning within brighter each time I take that stand
Overcoming every situation that seems unfair.

Oh how life has thought me a valuable lesson
That they who are close to you are mainly the ones
To mistreat you out of fear because of the level of greatness see within.

Fearful you will become a beacon to those in need hope.
