THE BOY IN THE MIRROR
#MirrorReflections
Am looking at you looking at me
Everytime I blink a tear drops
For the boy I see in the mirror
I wonder, Is it me or it that is broken?
A stranger to my own self
Now I am what I hated in others
I would rather count from two
Because I for one don't trust myself
Those that loved me, like good music
I treated their hearts like a guitar
It was always with no strings attached
Yet the damages were permanent
Am looking at you looking at me
Who is this man that I see
Dressed in people's expectations
Society is a garb too big for me to fit in
My body is covered with a scent of phenols
My lips and words carry an affront taste
Bitterness and rage flows in my veins
My hands are always deranged
In the mirror I see a stranger and not myself
I see a Man I never wished my father to be
I wonder what my kids see when they look at me
How do I correct this picture in front of me?
