Eyes, sorrow's somber sockets deep,
Tears, a river swollen, dark, and wide,
From a heart, a heavy, hollowed keep,
Where grief's relentless tides reside.
The sound of sorrow, a lament so keen,
Drowns all who hear, in its mournful refrain,
A heart, once whole, now broken, and unseen,
