We were singles, not really looking, being happy, in our own lives, yet, to be honest, miserable, yet as it happens, being how fate, how karma, how two seperate people, would somehow meet, as we, were invited, to share in, a friends party, for the end, of the year, as we, were mingling, with the others, in making new acquaintances and eating, the finger foods, chips another varieties, of snacks, that were displayed, on the table, for our choosing, as we, got our fill, along with drinks, as each of us, noticed the other, as we, worked the room, from opposite sides, as slowly, with each step, we circled the area, in taking quick glances, of each other, with both of us, feeling a connection, a pull, gravitating now, towards each other, as finally, the moment, that our paths, just crossed, as it was time, for our hosts, to now pour, the toasting champagne, as we, then counted down, while watching, the crystal ball, illuminating, above the square, making its decent, down the pole, infront of, millions there present and even more millions, seeing it, all over the world.

So now, as we, raised, while clinking, our glasses, so had the time, now arrived, for the first kiss, as I, could not say, nor could I, remember, if it was, on the cheek, or lips, as I, do not remember, if it was quick, or slow, or was it romantic, or more heated, but, in that room, full of friends and some strangers, we kissed, just after midnight and the passion, the desire, that made that moment, still, has never come, to an end and lives on, as each year, we make, our loves resolution.
