If I knew he loved me
just me would be enough,
I would run
and laugh
and remember to have fun
life surely wouldn't be this tough
If only, If only,
he could
see the pain,
that's stained
my
entire existence;
would be subdued a while.
If I knew he loved me,
might even crack a smile.
Instead,
I have to keep up with this pace,
No woman wants
to deal with another one
in her place.
if I knew he loved me
I wouldn't have to pick up
the pieces of my heart,
he so carelessly threw.
If I knew he loved me
I would quickly say I do.
