well,they both have faced some kind of trauma, rejection or negative childhood experiences in the past but as a result Empaths become compassionate, kind-hearted, and naturally inclined to help and support others in need. On the other hand, narcissists are driven by an excessive need for admiration and validation. They have an inflated sense of self-importance and a lack of empathy towards others.they literally drain your energy,they will manipulate you and you won't even know.
