When i was a child
#WritcoPoemPrompt91
As kids, one of the scariest moments in our lives is when our parents look at our school grades. What is something similar to this in Adulthood? Write a poem about this.
When I was a child
Small, I was scared;
I simply wanted to grow up
And be scared no more.
All grown up
Still am scared
But, I know better now
Grownups are children in disguise.
Everyone has their fight
No big, No small
A series of battles is life
You win some, you lose more.
It ain’t no war
There is no victory, no defeat
You just keep running
It’s a race, unending.
