A Fire Burns Within - Apr. 27th, 2006
So starts a story woke from under bed sheets warmed for far too long by sloth and sleep.
So beats the heart of passion unchained,
coherent only to the rising sun.
As if by some off chance, a twist of fate.
A conclusion to its farthest limits unseen.

Arise 'O youthful vigor!
Break the bonds!
Destroy with mighty swifts and strokes
the chains that were fastened by the dirty hands of slumber.
If hope is real, then it shall certainly find those who are lost in life,
to catch them when they fall.
Vengeance of yesternight, born of mumbled curses.
Spoken softly to greet the morning.

Now wake to life, blink softly then rise.
Though every breath seems as if it was made to cause suffering.
Keep not the sleep trapped in your eyes.
Now greet the fools that life holds aplenty.
For a fire burns within so hotly.
Drawn with no intention of ever being sheathed.
