there are those claiming to know true love,
but have never loved so hard
it's churned into hate;

there are those who claim to hate,
because they've tasted the sourness
of true love;

and there are those who know nothing of the two,
the fools in search
of a thing
that makes victims
and monsters
of us all

it's these I pitty the most,
those who do not know what it is
they will become
untill their very first
bite.
