Hold Fast to the Eternal
You may lose your job, the security of work,
The steady rhythm of daily purpose swept away.
Friends may come and go,
Their loyalty, like shifting winds, uncertain,
And even family can falter,
Leaving you alone in a house once filled with warmth.

Wealth is fleeting,
It slips through fingers like sand,
No matter how tightly you grasp.
Health, too, is fragile,
One day vibrant, the next, frail and worn.

Dreams may crumble,
Plans carefully laid may unravel,
Like threads pulled from a fraying cloth.
Love, once strong, may wither,
Leaving behind echoes of what once was.
Yet, in all this loss,
Do not lose the One who remains.
He is constant, unshaken by time or circumstance.
When the world shifts and everything you know fades,
His presence is your anchor,
Unmoved by the chaos that surrounds you.

You may lose much in this life—
But never lose the Lord your God.
In Him is the ground beneath your feet,
The light in your darkest hour.
Hold fast to Him,
For in His hands, you will never be lost.
