For just a day, I wish to disappear
To shrink until I become unreal
Until no memory of me is remembered
Until every part of me is deleted

My name that echoes through the silence
I wish for it to be forgotten
For everyday that my name is called
I feel like being tasked with another chore

My name is like a service button
Only pressed if needed on
But after all the work is done
The purpose of my name is gone

I'd rather have it be erased
Light it with fire in a blaze
And for a day when I evaporate
I wish for it to not leave a trace

Let me vanish without evidence
Let me melt into nothingness
For just a day, be unrequired
And maybe then I will be found.
