The unseen war
#WritcoPoemPrompt75
Upon the rugged road I tread,
No hand to guide, no words unsaid.
The world looks on with vacant stare,
No solace given, none to care.
Beneath the stars, beneath the gloom,
Through winds that howl and fates that loom,
I walk alone, through thorn and stone,
This path, this fight, is mine alone.
No trumpet’s call, no crowd’s delight,
No beacon burning through the night.
Yet still I rise, though shadows fall,

No hand to guide, no words unsaid.
The world looks on with vacant stare,
No solace given, none to care.
Beneath the stars, beneath the gloom,
Through winds that howl and fates that loom,
I walk alone, through thorn and stone,
This path, this fight, is mine alone.
No trumpet’s call, no crowd’s delight,
No beacon burning through the night.
Yet still I rise, though shadows fall,
For even whispers answer all.
Each weary step,...
