The door to tomorrow,
Opens in the shadows of today,
So brush aside the path of sorrow,
And make your way, come what may

The bad decisions of the past are done
So why suffer with the guilt and pain
You cannot change them, not even one
By dwelling on them you have nothing to gain

You listen to others, they say nothing kind
They dredge up your past, insult you and goad
In their company only shame you will find
They lead you down the darkest road

Leave it all behind and look far ahead
It's a chance that you will have to take
There's more to you than what you've done or said
See the good you can do and the change you can make

As times goes by, your sad past will fade
A ray of hope will light your way
Tomorrow's promise will outshine the mistakes you've made
Leading you to a brighter day
