DEVIL'S APPRENTICE
He is agile and obdurate,
But he forgets,
Either his ma or his sisters are also out,
Or perhaps, he doesn't give a dam,
If they too are handled daily,
Unlike eggs,
But like enemies in a war front.

The punches; the bruises;
The swollen faces; the punctured skin
And the broken hymens
All on him.

Isn't he a devil's apprentice?
